Braziel has a distinctive message delivery, which people from all walks of life can relate to.  His life is dedicated to living by example an encouraging men and women to live up to their full potential in Christ. Pastor Braziel's teaching is best accurately described in Isaiah 61:1-2, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek, he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Pastor Braziel has been happily married over 35 years to his lovely wife, First Lady Velma Braziel.  First Lady Velma Braziel is an exquisite woman of God with much wisdom and knowledge. They are proud parents of four children: LaKeisha, Bronche, Jerrod, and Jerome. They have been blessed with seven grandchildren.

Pastor Braziel and his family have been members of Pilgrim Galilee Baptist Church since 1971 where he faithfully served as Finance Chairperson, Sunday School Superintendent, and Deacon. After accepting the call of Jesus Christ to the Ministry of Christianity in 1999, Deacon Braziel became Senior Pastor of Pilgrim Galilee Baptist Church.

Under Pastor Braziel’s excellent leadership, Pilgrim Galilee is experiencing a holistic ministry that is spirit-filled. More than 8 ministries have been established and/or reorganized under his spiritual guidance. These ministries fall under our five functions which are Fellowship, Discipleship, Worship, Ministry, and Evangelism. Pastor Braziel is committed to winning souls for Christ and uses preaching to provide God's divine Word to address matters important to salvation, human existence and for practical application. His focus is always on the glory of God! His belief is that we as a unit should focus on "Filling Our Lives With Word, To Help Build The Church, To Help Save The Town, Bring them in, Build them up, Show them How, Send them Out, To God Be The Glory."
